Rosemount is a small, friendly hotel in a lovely location in Pitlochry, close to the town centre and near fabulous stretches of hill- and loch-side scenery. We have an excellent reputation for great service, delicious food, immaculate cleanliness and an intelligent, easy to operate set of covid prevention measures that leave staff and guests feeling safe.

The post of General Assistant requires a dedication to giving our guests an amazing stay, and to willingly work to keep all of the aspects that lead up to this in good order - clean, organised and with a happy flow. It will be necessary to prove relevant working experience in all or some of the following. The greater the experience, the better the levels of remuneration: -

Waiting
Bar work
Housekeeping
Light hotel administration
Cooking
Hotel Maintenance
Small Hotel Supervision

We work as a close team and have a "roll up sleeves and muck in together" approach to the job. Flexibility and willingness to try new things is key in making this work. The outcome is an enjoyable work experience with a high sense of achievement and very good rate of pay.

Whilst the Winter can be very quiet in this industry, we spend the time redecorating and pulling the place into sharp order during the quiet months. An interest in joining in simple decorating and maintenance tasks, learning as we go, will enhance Winter earnings.

We have access to online training courses and co operate with the local college to train staff to sqv level 3 in hospitality supervision and leadership. We always encourage staff to further their prospects through regular training.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term
Contract length: 11 months

Salary: £9.50-£11.50 per hour
