About The Job

As a Duty Manager you will be required to work circa 42 hours per week, usually 5 but sometimes over 6 days and including some split shifts when required and weekend work. The rate of pay for this role is £24,252per annum. There is the option to live in the Hotel if required.

You will work closely with the General Manager being the hotels number 2 and deputise in the absence of the General Manager. You will comfortable assisting in all departments within the hotel environment but will be focussed on front of house, in particular bar, reception and restaurant; ensuring a smooth and efficient customer service is delivered.

Being involved in recruitment and training of new employee owners will be fundamental to the role, whilst making sure the weekly rota’s and budgets are controlled effectively. You will work with the General Manager, to make sure the health and safety of your colleagues and our customers is paramount making sure you are up to date with our policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will
  • Have previous experience in a similar or comparable role.
  • Be comfortable in managing people.
  • Understand the operational demands of customer facing departments.
  • Be numerate and literate with a good level of English.
  • Have a positive can do attitude being able to deal with challenging situations
