About The Role

Are you an experienced and highly skilled Security Officer looking for a challenging and rewarding role? Join our team at Scarborough General Hospital as a Full-Time Hospital Security Guard / CCTV Controller. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to help maintain a secure and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a secure and safe environment for all individuals within the hospital premises.
  • Control access to the hospital, allowing entry only to authorized personnel and visitors.
  • Conduct regular patrols to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of everyone on-site.
  • Promptly and efficiently respond to incidents, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Report all incidents and escalate any issues to the appropriate authority.
  • Communicate effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of incidents and daily tasks.
  • Attend and actively participate in all required training and development sessions.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Possess a valid SIA license.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and duties.
  • Good physical fitness to carry out required physical duties.
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
