Driver Hire Taunton & Bridgwater are seeking to recruit a van driver to support our client during the Summer Holiday period. Our client is one of the UK’s leading Home Delivery providers supplying dairy products, fruit, vegetables and bakery products. This role combines driving skills, focus on Customer service and communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver products to Customers on a designated round up to 100 drops per night
  • Maintain delivery service levels in line with customer service standards
  • Loading / unloading your vehicle
  • To ensure that your vehicle is kept clean & tidy and operated within the Highway code regulations & company procedures
  • Keep accurate records in order to account for all sales and monies collected in line with company procedures
Hours Of Work & Wages
  • Start times are from 22.00 hrs to 07.00 hrs – Sunday to Saturday am
  • Wages are from £10.67 per hour, minimum 8 hours per shift, 6 nights per week
  • Weekly paid wages (PAYE)
  • Holiday accrued from the first shift
  • Pension contributions after qualifying period
As An Experienced Van Driver, You Will
  • Hold a valid UK Cat B (3.5t) licence with no more than 6 points
  • To be able to demonstrate Multi drop experience & Customer service skills
  • Must be comfortable working 6 x nights per week and alone
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the role
  • Experience in operating handheld sets for deliveries (Training is provided)
Full training / induction is provided to cover all aspects of the role
