History Teacher for Ofsted Good Secondary School in Barking and Dagenham – ASAP start

Start date: ASAP

Contract: Full time Maternity until July 2023

Payscale: MPS – UPS3 for QTS Teachers

Are you looking for a full-time History Teacher position in a growing inner London school?

We are supporting a secondary school in Barking and Dagenhamthat are looking for a History Teacher to

teach KS3 and KS4 History full time starting immediately until July 2023 (with a possibility for a permanent

role in September 2023)

About the role

You’ll be working as a History Teacher in an inner-city school.

The school has a huge focus on pastoral support and has created a behaviour policy built on mutual

respect. You will be joining a motivated staffing team that has pupil and staff well-being at the heart of what

they do. Staff development is central to everything they do and you will receive weekly coaching sessions,

a personalised CPD programme which best fits your needs and clear pathways for progression.

Maternity Cover

ASAP start

You will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

Creating schemes of work

Tracking pupil progress and identifying pupils that might require additional intervention support

About you

  • Ability to teach History to KS3 and KS4
  • Enthusiasm and creativity when delivering lessons to students of all ages and abilities
  • Passion for your subject
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
