    The Vacancy is for a Highways Trainee Technician, Grade 4 within the Guilden Sutton, Chester, Highways Office.

    The role will be working within a highly productive Team of learning and carrying out general trainee technician duties within the Highways Offices for delivery of works across the Borough.

    The principal responsibilities will be to contribute to the Transport and Highways directorate by delivering programmes of work across teams. To ensure effective, efficient, and safe delivery of works within the service for users and the people of Cheshire West & Chester in accordance with Council policies, procedures and resources.

    The job requires using a varied element of computer systems including: Autocad, Microsoft Teams; Confirm and Microsoft office applications - training will also be given.

    The role is classed as a ’Hybrid’ worker which means that the successful applicant will be expected to work both from the office or visiting highways sites (cover in the office will be required as per any agreed rota and any additional cover requirements) however, it may also enable working from home when agreed with their line manager.
