Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a HLTA to work within a SEN Provision in Middlesbrough. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the variation between a support and lead role. You will be expected to support across KS1 and KS2 as a TA as well a Teaching cover when the class teacher is absent due to child support, training or PPA. This particular HLTA must be a confident leader, team player and positive role model.

The students that attend the schools all have varying abilities and levels. The most important aspect of this role is to be an effective communicator to both staff and students as well as adapting to students needs.

This particular school is looking for someone who promotes a creative way of learning and ensuing all students have the opportunity to grow and develop. All staff work to inspire, motivate, challenge and support each pupil, no matter what their individual needs may be.

This full time role is to start immediately, however exceptions can be made for September 2023 start dates.

The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Extensive experience of working as a teaching assistant or a HLTA
  • Previous experience covering a whole classroom
  • Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent
  • Confident and supportive individual

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
