HGV Trailer Technicians required for our client in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.
  • £28,000 annual salary
  • 4 on 4 off
  • Day shifts 6am - 6pm
Our client, a well known and well established commercial entre in the North West, are actively recruiting for HGV Trailer Technicians to join their growing team at their site in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

The HGV Trailer Technician will be required to carry out repairs on all trailers according to procedures and in a timely safe manner. You will be carrying out fault diagnosis and work with the parts team to obtain the correct replacement parts and ensure they are fitted correctly.

Requirements For The HGV Trailer Technician Role
  • Be qualified to at least Level 2 or time-served
  • Previous experience required (3 years minimum)
  • Understand the importance of accuracy
In this HGV Trailer Technician role you will be responsible for:
  • Carrying out repairs on Trailers according to procedures and in a timely safe manner
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis
  • Reporting any faults/defects in accordance with the processes
  • Working together with the parts team to obtain the correct replacement parts and ensure they are fitted correctly
  • Completing relevant documents on the work you have completed including internal documents, customer documents and department of transport documents
  • Ensuring road tests are carried out in line with licence restrictions
  • Complying with all procedures ensuring accuracy and quality on all jobs
  • Keeping your workplace clean and returning equipment to designated areas
  • Complying with all health and safety regulations ensuring your workplace is safe at all times
