ALS People are recruiting on behalf of our client, a Top 5 UK waste contractor, for a Sweeper Driver (HGV2)for their site near Rushden.

The role forms an integral part of our clients Street Cleansing Team delivering quality Street Cleansing Services on Shopping Centres, highway verges, footpaths, parks playing fields, housing areas, landscaped areas and similar open spaces.

They operated two size of Sweeper. A 15tn.
  • General street cleansing areas
  • Removal of fly tips.
  • Cleansing of public buildings such as changing rooms and toilets.
  • Mechanical sweeping of hard surface areas/ / kerb lines / roadways / foot paths.
  • Drive and be responsible for allocated vehicles sweepers / vans and machinery.
  • Carry out before use checks and end of day checks on allocated vehicles.
  • Report all Vehicle/Equipment defects to your Supervisor/Workshop using the defect reporting book.
Experience Required
  • Driving vehicles up to26. t.
  • Working on the highway.
  • Lantra qualification
  • Hold drivers CPC qualification
  • Hold driver’s tachograph card
  • Must hold appropriate licenses above 7.5t vehicle’s
  • Class 2 license
  • Previous experience is essential
  • Work Pattern: Monday to Friday
  • Hours of Work: 06.30 -15.30 (job and finish)
  • Pay Rate: £14.00p/h
  • Temp to Perm - Permanent opportunity
