Job Requirements:

As part of our continued growth we are now looking to appoint a HGV Class 2 Driver (C, C1+E & C+E). to assume responsibility for ensuring that vehicles are delivered and collected to clients’ premises in a timely and efficient manner. This position will be based from our Tiverton site but will also require visits to vehicles away from the workshop either for collection or delivery as required.

Ideally you’ll have some basic mechanical knowledge and be the kind of person who responds to customers with the utmost care and attention, providing the highest level of service to contribute positively to the growth of the branch. You’ll be a great team player, assisting other team members in their roles when required. You will also be confident in driving a wide variety of different vehicle types.

Key Tasks to include:
  • Ensuring vehicles prepared for delivery are thoroughly checked before delivery
  • Preparing defleet and end of contract vehicles for resale
  • Ensuring vehicles are parked appropriately within the yard and kept secure at all times
  • Maintaining effective communication with the Depot office at all times
  • Agreeing condition of vehicle with client on delivery or collection and completing paperwork and photography routines to support this using tablet device
  • Liaising with client regarding delivery times and locations
  • Returning vehicles to workshop in advance or returning via other means as agreed
  • General assistance in the workshop and yard as required and within the qualifications and experience of the post-holder

Location: Tiverton
Hourly Rate: £11.50 per hour
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 42.5 per week and alternative Saturdays (rota basis)
