Manpower is recruiting a dependable HGV Class 2 Driver on behalf of our public sector client.

Location: Llansamlet, Swansea

Job Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Contract: Temporary until 30 April 2024

Hours: Monday to Friday 6 am - 2 pm

Hourly rate: £11.45 per hour

Start date: Immediate subject to satisfactory written references.

The role

As a Class 2 HGV Driver for laundry services, your job is crucial. You’ll be responsible for safely transporting laundry between facilities and locations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive a Class 2 HGV to pick up and deliver laundry on schedule.
  • Load and unload laundry carefully to ensure it reaches its destination in good condition.
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries, noting any issues.
  • Communicate well with the dispatch team and clients to coordinate schedules.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 2 HGV licence and CPC qualification.
  • Previous Class 2 HGV driving experience
  • Good understanding of road safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
  • Physical fitness for loading and unloading.
