Up to 37.5 hours per week (Permanent)We require motivated healthcare assistants to work on Ward 8. Ward 8 is a 30 bedded surgical ward, specialising in Urology and Gynaecology.The successful candidates will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team demonstrating a range of nursing skills to meet the needs of the patient in a safe, caring environment that promotes dignity, privacy and respect under appropriate supervision of the registered nurses.We will require the successful candidate to work days, nights and weekends on a rotational basis.Informal visits are encouraged.This post will close once sufficient applications have been received.South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers Novice leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust.South Tees Hospitals is the largest hospital trust in the Tees Valley with two acute hospitals and services in a number of community hospitals.The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough is a designated major trauma centre and provides all its specialties from one site which is unique for a hospital of its size. It provides a wide range of district general hospital services and specialist services such as neurosciences, renal medicine, spinal injuries, major trauma, cardiothoracics, vascular surgery and cancer services. It has 1,024 beds, a 24-hour acute admissions unit and an emergency department which houses the major trauma centre for Durham, East Cleveland, Tees Valley and North Yorkshire and has its own helipad. In 2012 the Middlesbrough hospital completed a £35 million redevelopment of its cancer services and is now proud to provide some of the best facilities in Europe. The James Cook University Hospital has a modern, central operating suite containing 20 well-equipped theatres and a 16-bedded intensive care unit.
