Our Healthcare Support Workers work at the heart of our multidisciplinary teams who support our patients by assisting the Registered Nurses in planning, delivering, and evaluating care.The roles are varied and busy as you will be working a variety of shifts including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. We will support you to achieve full training for your core duties including achievement of a National Care Certificate, and we will support your continued developmentTo be eligible to work as a Healthcare Support Worker Apprentice we expect that you have Level 1 Functional Skills in Numeracy and English or equivalent GCSE levels.Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, you will automatically become a Healthcare Support Worker (band 3). To be eligible for a funded apprenticeship, you must be over the age of 16, a resident in the UK/EU for the last three years and you must not hold a level 3 qualification (or above) or an NVQ Level 2 qualification in the same pathway or subject, e.g. BTEC or GCSE.
