Main Duties/ResponsibilitiesAs a HCA, your duties could include:
  • Taking and recording observations
  • Small wound management
  • Daily patient care and mobilisation
  • Direct patient supervision
  • Working with patient care plans
  • Making beds and helping other healthcare staff where needed
  • Sterilising equipment, restocking consulting rooms, trolleys, and stations
  • Carrying out health checks, taking blood samples and processing lab samples
Essential Criteria
  • You will have a minimum of 6 months experience in a healthcare setting providing patient care
  • You will need to pass an enhanced background check
  • You will need to pass a Medacs Healthcare interview
  • You will be required to provide evidence of immunisation history
  • You will need to provide references from a clinical setting covering the last 3 years
Desirable Experience
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Care qualification (NVQ level 2 and 3)
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Cannulation experience
  • IV training
