To manage all Health & Safety (H &S) aspects for the e-com Fulfilment Centre. To drive forward all aspects of H & S management by establishing, leading, implementing and maintaining the Safety Management System. To support and be accountable for the H & S improvement plans for each site. Maintain continued awareness and focus around the site, ensuring each site complies with DHL / Customer Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and meet legal and other requirements as a minimum.
To ensure that the objectives of the Site Health and Safety strategy is met and that the site is compliant with all applicable statutory requirements. Conduct Health & Safety Training to promote a "Zero Accident Culture"

  • To ensure that the objectives of the sites in relation to Health and Safety and Environment are met and that the site is fully compliant with legal and statutory obligations. To lead and promote excellent H & S standards and practices.
  • Provide H & S management reporting to agreed deadlines to both DHL and the Customer.
  • Advise on statutory changes in H & S legislation and implement required measures to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain and improve the H & S management systems to ensure the sites meet there set standards.
  • Oversee that trends, accidents / incidents are investigated, root causes highlighted and any necessary improvements implemented.
  • Respondent to major incidents and RIDDOR reportable incidents.

  • NEBOSH H&S Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety Management
  • Member of IOSH / IEMA or working towards
  • Experience of working within a supply chain environment desirable.
  • Distribution/ Warehousing background
  • Able to demonstrate work on H&S initiatives in an operational environment
  • Flexible when it comes to working other shifts as and when required.
