The Role – Health, Safety & Facilities Administrator
Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety & Facilities Administrator for our client a Fresh Produce business based near Sittingbourne in Kent . The purpose of the role is to support the Health and Safety manager with the running of an efficient, compliant, and pro-active H&S function for an ambitious, rapidly growing, multi-cultural company.
The Candidate
Suitable candidates must have previously worked within an Administration role in the Fresh Produce industry, preferably with an Health and Safety understanding. Must be Microsoft Office proficient in PowerPoint , Excel and Word , be extremely organised with excellent communication and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail . IOSH Managing Safely Certificate would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities would include:
- Provide administration support to the Health and Safety Manager
- Produce H&S KPIs and reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis as required
- Order and maintain good stocks of consumables, raising the corresponding Purchase Orders through Prophet. Receipt deliveries, arrange returns if required and reconcile transactions back to the Purchase Order
- Support with site waste operations including arranging collections as needed to keep the site tidy
- Act as a liaison with regular contractors highlighting any concerns to the Shift Operations Manager
- Assist with locker management; including issuing new lockers to new employees, keeping locker records up to date and ordering new keys when required
- Assist with the co-ordination and implementation of H&S policies and practice
- Issue permits to work in the absence of the Site Administrator
- Maintain accurate records associated with your work
- Populate and monitor the contractor database, ensuring we have up to date insurance certificates and Risk Assessment and Method Statements
- Update records including incidents and near-miss registers, highlighting any trends in the data to the Health and Safety Manager
- Take minutes in meetings and distribute notes and actions, following up on actions to ensure they are completed in a timely manner
