Health, Safety & Environmental Manager required for our award winning manufacturing company based in Blackwood, South Wales. Are you an experienced HSE Manager looking for a new and challenging position - if so we may have the role for you!

£37,000 to £39,000 per annum

Benefits include 33 days holiday, Pension, cycle to work scheme

We have an excellent opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join a successful and well established manufacturing company in a role which will offer autonomy, progression and a real chance to make your mark. This is a hands on role and the successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a positive culture towards Health & Safety across the site and wider business, along with ensuring all HSE legislation and policies are adhered to.

Duties Will Include
  • Liaising with all departments on all matters concerning Health, Safety & Environmental issues
  • Advising on risk assessment and offering guidance, ensuring they are fit for purpose
  • Ensuring compliance to ISO 9001 & 45001
  • Reporting on any accidents & incidents and putting corrective actions in place
  • Working alongside Manufacturing & Quality Engineers - looking at Continuous Improvement practices and how they can be improved
  • Carrying out and assessing all H&S training
  • Auditing
  • Ensuring compliance to COSSH & RIDDOR are met at all times
  • Regular reviews of Data Protection, COVID restrictions and H&S policies are carried out
  • Supporting HR with Occupational Health
  • Participating in Site and Group meetings covering all aspects of HSE and reporting back
The successful HSE Manager will have previously worked in a similar role within a manufacturing environment and have excellent people skills - the ability to communicate with people at all levels is essential. You will have a Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and be NEBOSH/IOSH/IEMA qualified with strong knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001. Experience of auditing is also essential.
