Health and Safety Advisor Our client is based near Honiton and is looking for a Health and Safety Advisor. The company is a BRC A Grade issue 8 accredited UK based food manufacturing company. As a result of growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Health and Safety Advisor, working Monday to Friday. Role & Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement policies and procedures to raise and maintain safety standards
  • Monitor and review said polices for effectiveness
  • Implement preventative measures as required
  • Ensure Health and Safety regulations are met.
  • Ensure all processes have a Risk assessment
  • Ensure Risk assessments are regularly reviewed, and mitigation is actioned
  • Support the Health and Safety forum
  • Collate and investigate the Near misses and ensure corrective actions
  • Collate and investigate the accidents and ensure corrective actions
  • Ensure the necessary H&S training takes place
  • Manages COSHH on site including training.
  • Review all SOPs in relation to H&S and annotate as necessary
  • Ensures all visitors and contractors are following our H&S guidelines
  • Manages MSDS application on site
  • Report any issues or concerns to Management.
  • Reviews all new products and NPI for safety
  • Review all changes for H&S impact and acts accordingly Values, Skills & Experience:
  • You must have the necessary H&S qualifications such as a degree, NEBOSH and NCRQ
  • Positive, confident and an excellent communicator
  • The ability to use your own initiative and control multiple accounts
  • Self-motivated and a capability to work towards deadlines
  • Responsive, committed, and passionate
  • A sense of urgency
