Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
  • Work flexibly as part of a Multidisciplinary Team
  • Undertake direct patient care as delegated by the professional team and within the individual child’s plan of care as appropriate to competency levels.
  • To undertake duties appropriate to competency levels e.g. suctioning, gastrostomy feeding, tissue viability care, personal care and other designated nursing tasks.
  • Encourage the child’s participation with personal and daily domestic activities,
  • Supervise the child in activities such as mobilising, bathing and ensure the correct and safe use of patient equipment e.g., hoist, showering equipment and frames.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to be caring, compassionate, dedicated and flexible in approach. An ability to work well on own initiative and within a small team. The post holder will be required to work shifts including unsociable hours and nights.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
