subject to a progression criteria

Contract:MC Lecturer, Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Teaching Hours: 864 per annum

Annual Leave: 45 days per annum, plus statutory Bank Holidays

Pension: Teachers’ Pension

About the College

  • Middlesbrough College is the largest General Further Education College in the Tees Valley and has been situated in Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, since 2008. It has developed from the initial main site to the vibrant campus that is now in place with our Campus Heart, dedicated Sixth Form, STEM Centre, Higher Education Centre, and further development for our apprentices in progress.

            About the role

            We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in Health and Social Care. Lecturers at the College plan and deliver a wide range of challenging, relevant learning and work experiences that ensure all learners can develop and apply the skills, knowledge, behaviours, and attitudes required for the 21st Century learning, life, and work.

            The successful candidate will:

            • To hold a relevant qualification at degree level.
            • To be a qualified teacher or must be prepared to commence an appropriate teaching qualification on appointment to the post.
            • Current knowledge and / or experience of one or more fields of Health / science and an understanding of opportunities for students in health.
            • Good oral and written communication skills with a capacity to deal effectively with staff, students, parents, employers, and others.
