HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER POSITION OPEN FOR ONE OF THE UK’S LEADING WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RECYCLING SECTOR.

TITLE: Health and Safety Manager- Waste Management & Recycling

CLIENT: My client is an established name within the Waste Management and Recycling sector. Due to the company expanding at an exceptional rate, they are now looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join in their success.

Package: Up to £50,000, bonus and pension.

LOCATION: Nottingham

Previous Job Titles: Health and Safety Manager, SHEQ Manager, SHE Manager, Environmental and Quality Manager, Compliance Advisor, Safety, Environmental and Quality Supervisor.

Previous Industries: Waste Management, Recycling, Muck away, Hazardous, Clinical, Healthcare, Household, Trade and Confidential Waste, Construction & Demolition, Aggregates, Quarrying.

ROLE- Health and Safety Manager

This role will involve you implementing and overseeing all Health and Safety activities at 2 sites

You will manage culture change in the work place to ensure smooth running of process.

This position will see you reporting any near- misses and filing accident reports as required.

You will also have involvement with KPI’s and monitoring of performance.

Participate in monthly meetings with other members of management.

You will also complete all necessary paper work accurately and within a set time frame.

EXPERIENCE- Health And Safety Manager- Waste Management & Recycling

You will have previous experience auditing and implementing ISO 18001, 14001 and 9001 standards.

NEBOSH General Certificate required as a minimum, with a NEBOSH Diploma being preferred.

You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will also have a good working knowledge of IT systems and MS packages.

IOSH Or Other Related H&S Qualifications Necessary.

You will have previous experience of working within the Waste Management, Recycling or Food Waste sectors.

You will also be able to demonstrate previous man- management experience and taking the lead with culture change in the work place.
