Applications are invited for the post of Head of Year (non-teaching) for September 2023. We are looking to appoint a Head of Year who will make a positive contribution and impact in the role on our students and the wider school community.

Judged to be Good by Ofsted (October 2022), we are proud of our committed staff and aspirational pupils.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our pastoral and inclusion team as a Head of Year. As a non-teaching role, the post holder will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing and behaviour of all students in a designated year group.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have high expectations of students and what they can achieve
  • Have clear pastoral experience
  • Have a strong understanding of strategies which address barriers to learning
  • Be highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Be a committed team player
  • Be able to develop and drive new initiatives and innovate practice

You will be joining teams that deliver a high-quality service to our students.

We are seeking candidates with a good all-round education who want to make a difference to the life chances of our students. Although you would be expected to have a thorough understanding of young people, you do not necessarily need to have worked in schools previously. Full training will be provided.

Any applicants interested in this position are invited to contact the Head of School for an informal discussion regarding your application. We would strongly recommend a visit to the school if you are interested in this position.

All completed application forms should be

forwarded to Mrs J Horan, Office Manager at the school address shown above or
