We are currently seeking a Head of Treasury and Transactions to join our head office in Kidderminster. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

The main purpose of this role is to lead on the company’s treasury management function ensuring the organisation has sufficient secured debt and new borrowings to draw in advance of business requirements along with managing the company’s cash flow position, leading on the planning and delivery of loan facilities.

Within this role your main responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and reporting on the company Business Plans, stress testing scenarios as appropriate

  • Maintaining the Company’s Assets and Liabilities Register ensuring that all relevant data is identified and held in a location that enable swift access

  • Leading the management, performance and development of the department’s systems administration function

  • Leading and reviewing the development appraisal software and financial assumptions including the assessment of development appraisals before they are loaded into the Business Plan model

  • Reviewing and approving the content of regulatory submissions.

  • Representing the Treasury & Capital function in meetings

  • Maintaining oversight of the financial transactions team activities and performance

  • Assisting the Director of Finance to ensure there is adequate financial risk management control over all Company activities

  • Assisting the Head of Finance – Revenues and Reporting with the maintenance of the Company’s Financial budgets

  • Identifying, scoring, updating and mitigating risks relating to Financial Planning in the Company’s risk system

  • Reviewing and appraising new capital and revenue initiatives


Our successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Have experience from within accountancy and treasury

  • Have knowledge of housing sector finance

  • Have experience of computerised accounting packages and reporting tools

  • Have experience of writing reports, policies and reports to Board level

  • Have experience of negotiating funding arrangements with providers

  • Have a strong understanding of management, business planning and treasury management

  • Demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of Accountancy, VAT, Tax and Treasury

  • Show effective leadership skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively
