My client is looking for a Head of Technology with a leading global creative digital agency. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of this London creative agency. You’ll report directly to the Global CTO and work with Executive Management to grow the company through the use of technological resources.

As Head of Technology, you’ll use an active and practical approach to direct all employees in the Tech department to attain the agency’s strategic goals. You’ll operate as part of the Senior Leadership Team, championing the agency’s capabilities and driving the Technology department forward.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish the company’s technical vision and lead all aspects of the company’s technological development. This includes technology consulting, digital production and development, marketing automation platforms, marketing technology strategy, and the internal technology and tools team.
  • Be the Client Facing Technologist that whoa deep understanding of Marketing Technology (especially Adobe & Salesforce), Data, and E-Commerce.
  • Direct the company’s technical strategic direction, development, and future growth.
  • Lead the strategic technology solution approach for major clients or new business opportunities.
  • Drive a culture of innovation across the agency, and in collaboration with other network offices whilst identifying emerging technology trends and establishing the agency’s POV.
  • Work consultatively with other department heads, such as Creative, Account Management, Strategy (CX, UX, Media), and Performance as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership to department heads in a way that supports the company’s culture, mission, and values.
  • Conduct research and case studies on leading-edge technologies and make determinations on the probability of implementation.
  • Act as a good steward of the agency’s resources and ensures control of Technology departmental budgets. Take a leadership position in new digital product development, large initiative planning, and ideation and planning resources and technology needs.
  • Works closely with the wider senior leadership team to develop and execute business plans and define our technology requirements.
  • Develop a systematic and scalable approach for identifying and evaluating innovative and enabling technologies.
  • Establish, communicate, and monitor best practices for the agency to ensure delivery excellence. Responsible for aggregating data from Operations Leads for Managerial review and evaluation.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • You’ll be an established technologist with proven experience in the Information Technology arena.
  • You’ll have significant leadership, management, and strategic experience in this field.
  • Digital agency experience is a requirement.
  • Experience with Adobe, Acquia/Drupal, Marketo, Oracle Eloqua, Salesforce, and Sitecore platforms is desired.
  • Proven track record of driving new business by partnering with Business Leadership and the functional disciplines - Tech, Data, Commerce, and Innovation.
  • Ability to actively communicate, inspire, and motivate all levels of staff, including managing development teams on and offshore, including innovation in approach and processes.
  • Ability to educate business leaders on what technology enables for business and brand growth. Ability to work with creatives and leverage creative technologies and experiential thinking.
  • Ability to think and act strategically and proactively.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
