An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking professional to provide leadership and management within the Sustainable Strathclyde team in the Estates Services Directorate. You will have responsibility for strategic, operational planning and implementation across the breadth of the Directorate activities, working across the whole University community and externally.

As part of the award winning Sustainable Strathclyde team, you will work proactively with the Executive Lead Sustainability, the Head of Climate Action, team members, Finance and Procurement staff, Senior Officers, faculties, professional services staff and the student community to support the implementation of the University’s strategic targets for Strathclyde 2025 and beyond, focusing on our sustainability and social impact strategies, policies and targets. You will also work closely with our external networks in the public and private and third sectors.

The Sustainable Strathclyde team delivers the operational sustainability elements of the University’s Climate Change and Social Responsibility Policy and Plan including the Net Zero target. We are a dynamic and innovative team of professionals who work closely together to deliver an exciting portfolio of work. We work in particularly close partnership with the Centre for Sustainable Development team. You will provide line management to a growing team and with them, lead the implementation of policy and plans which will deliver our University sustainability objectives.

Working with an experienced and knowledgeable team, you will bring excellent leadership, planning and management skills, with the ability to instigate and deliver change and develop strong relationships across the University and beyond.
