Full Time
Our client is seeking a Head of Sales Operations to join their motivated and committed team in Shoreham. The successful client will be responsible for the development and stabilisation of the Sales Operations function, including integrating teams and driving change alongside running day-to-day functions.
The ideal candidate will show discipline, tenacity, and organisational skills within their work, and should consider themselves an excellent networker and stakeholder manager. Ideally, our client is seeking a candidate with proven experience in managing and transforming a Sales Operations team, experience in driving continuous improvement and an understanding of key success enablers.
This role offers a very competitive salary and will run on a full-time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities
Order Processing
- Manage the Sales Operations Team that process sales orders for the company
- Ensure that all orders are processed within the agreed timescales
- Orders need to be processed accurately and to meet or exceed the defined targets
- Accountable owner for the Order processing process
- Own a continuous improvement programme so that the Order processing function continues to evolve – this is to include how workload can be moved away from the Sales Teams and into the Sales Operations Team
- Ensure correct end to end logging/booking of all relevant information
- Own and manage the integration of all Sales Order processing teams into a single team
Lead to Order
- Own a continuous improvement programme for customer quotations so that the experience for our customers and internal teams is enhanced – put in place a process to measure the improvement
- Create and own an 18-month rolling development roadmap for the opportunity management application (Darwin) and quoting tool (EasyQuote) (including associated processes)
- Own defining and prioritising the sales requirements for Darwin / EasyQuote development
- Work with the sales leadership (including channel) to enable the highest level of quotation quality, minimising errors, and issues
- Be a key stakeholder and contribute to the replacement application for Darwin
- Act as a lead for integrating acquired businesses into Darwin and EasyQuote (or their replacement)
Proposals / RFPs
- Build effective relationships with Sales and Operations leaders to improve the quality and speed of sales proposals through collating, compiling, and centralising “ready to go” responses for standard RFPs
Requirements
- Proven track record of managing and transforming Sales Operations teams
- Experience in driving continuous improvement
- Experience working with a Sales team and understanding key success enablers
- Well organised, disciplined, excellent attention to detail, desire to see change and improvement
- Excellent networker and stakeholder manager
- Team player, tenacious, approachable, empathetic, proactive
