The Treasury is the United Kingdom’s economics and finance ministry. It is responsible for formulating and implementing the government’s financial and economic policy. Its aim is to raise the rate of balanced growth and achieve rising prosperity and a better quality of life with economic and employment opportunities for all.

This role is based in the Treasury’s Norwich office. TGSS services underpin HR and Finance work and make a real difference to the experience of employees and the successful running of the Treasury Group. Services include recruitment, onboarding, security vetting, employee lifecycle, pay and pension, HR helpdesk, finance operations and Oracle Cloud systems.

We have a growing pipeline of projects to improve services, deliver new functionality and implement Government Shared Services strategy. This is a new role leading the portfolio of TGSS projects and change.

You’ll project manage and coordinate the Treasury’s work as part of Matrix, the name for the shared services cluster we are part of, that is working to deliver the Government Shared Services strategy, as well as other TGSS projects within the Portfolio and any additional future projects.

Working asa member of the TGSS Leadership team, you’ll drive forward service improvements, helping set the wider strategic direction of TGSS and support all TGSS team members by providing an excellent working environment.

Benefits of working for HM Treasury include:

  • 25 days’ annual leave (rising to 30 after 5 years), plus 8 public holidays and the Queen’s birthday (unless you have a legacy arrangement as an existing Civil Servant)
  • Flexible working patterns (part-time, job-share, condensed hours)
  • A generous Defined Benefit pension scheme with employer contributions.
  • Access to a cycle-to-work salary sacrifice scheme, and payroll giving
