OceanMind is looking for a Head of PMO to lead and develop our project management capability. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has previously worked in senior project roles, who can build effective relationships with stakeholders, and help us deliver outstanding projects.

Working with the COO, the successful candidate will act as the champion for project management excellence within OceanMind and therefore need to demonstrate a solid understanding of what "good" looks like. You will place emphasis on project complexity rather than value and operate at a strategic level but also not be afraid to dive into and master the detail of specific projects. To be successful you will have demonstrable experience delivering projects from feasibility to delivery across a wide and diverse portfolio.

Key aspects of the role

  • Develop, lead, mentor, and coach the PMO team
  • Ensure OceanMind’s project team have appropriate tools and support to control project costs, scheduling, and management of project risk
  • Develop and implement Lean processes to aid efficient and effective project delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement within OceanMind through the effective implementation and management of a Lessons Identified / Learned regime
  • Oversee the project governance and reporting regime

This is an exciting and versatile role with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience and benefits. You will have the opportunity to continue your development and the chance to contribute to a more sustainable environment.
