Product Operations Manager

Salary circa £65,000 - £70,000 plus bonus

Talent Hub are working in a partnership with a specialist World Wide tour operator, creating travel experiences across the globe. Creating packages combing long haul flights and tours are a key element of this successful and growing tour business. You will lead and motivate a close-knit team, developing team, who manage product, UK/ Specialist tours and reservations.

As the Operations Manager / General Manager you will imbed strategic leadership, overseeing the development and commercial operational delivery of excellent Flight - Tours packages across the UK and Overseas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the delivery of the sales, revenue and margin targets through the development of World Wide Tours
  • Work with the Finance Manager, Travel Business Analyst and Group Head of Services to develop and maintain a reporting function for performance growth for Tour Operations
  • Oversee the quality of day to day operations ensurig a high quality standard for the whole of the customer experience with the company. From their initial enquiry and holiday experience right through to customers returning home from their holiday and feedback
  • Lead teams on the development of products to create an enticing range of attractive holidays for customers
  • In conjunction with product teams oversee the development and implementation of marketing plans for products
  • Lead and develop your team of direct reports, heading up product management, reservations, UK, European, Specialist and World Wide Tours
  • Implement pricing and margin strategies to produce competitive products whilst achieving contribution targets
  • Oversee the selection, development and negotiation of commercial agreements with suppliers, including ongoing management of service levels, quality and cost control
  • Ensure that all Tour Operations services and activities comply with business requirements, including Financial Protection bonding through ABTA & ATOL, European Package Travel Regulations and the General Data Protection Regulations
  • Implement and oversee the Health & Safety process across all Tour Operation products to ensure that all holidays are delivered in accordance with safety, health and environmental policy and meet legal requirements

What you will need this Tour Operations job:

  • Extensive Travel sector experience with Product Management or Operational Management background, developing tours with Long Haul World Wide flights
  • Delivered the full operational element of Tours or Products combining marketing and price across the UK and Worldwide
  • Working knowledge of packaged Flight and Tour operations with experience of ABTA & ATOL bonding
  • Experience in project management and managing multi-functional teams
  • Experience of managing and developing reservation & tour operation systems, liaising with staff & system providers to provide a productive platform
  • Exceptional team leadership qualities along with strong planning, organisational and delegation skills
