Head of Privacy and DPO

What you’ll be doing…

The Head of Privacy and DPO is the principal point of contact for all aspects of Future’s compliance with data protection and privacy needs on a global basis. This role is responsible for Future’s privacy strategy and delivery program, as well as acting as the designated DPO for the purposes of the EU and UK privacy legislation, and Privacy Officer in North America.

This is a highly visible and senior role, which is critical to ensuring that the Data Privacy team effectively manages the data protection and privacy risks impacting Future’s business across the globe.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

• Extensive knowledge of data protection and privacy legislation, including the EU GDPR, the DPA 2018 and the UK PECR.
• Knowledge of the existing and evolving US, Canadian and Australian legislation, plus Data Protection Authority guidance and regulatory focus by territory.
• Adept at balancing strategic, operational, and commercial needs with legal requirements, plus providing practical risk-based advice.
  
• Strong working knowledge of Adtech environments, CRM, and data management (including profiling).
• Hold an IAPP CIPP/E or CIPM data protection qualification (or equivalent) (Preferred)
