Role Profile (The purpose of the role)

Our ambition is to deliver a step change in customer growth across key strategic products including telecoms, payments and insurance services through increasing our share of the small business switching market. Alongside this we will accelerate product growth through cross-sell of a broad portfolio of services including Mobile, Water, Power & Gas.

Five direct reports (Marketing Managers for Telecoms, Financial Services, Utilities and Partner; CRM Manager)

Responsibilities of the role (What we want you to do)

Lead a team of industry marketing experts for each of the utilities, telecoms and financial services product portfolios, supporting them to create and deliver the Marketing strategy for their areas.

Guide the CRM manager to build and execute Salesforce cross-sell and prospect initiatives, maximising the single customer view which Salesforce will provide, to enable segmented marketing campaigns.

Work closely with the Data and Insights team to understand propensity and preference modelling outcomes, and develop marketing campaign strategy based on these.

Work closely with the Revenue team to create sales growth and increase cross-sell effectiveness through targeted marketing.

Work closely with the Commercial and Product teams to understand product profitability and trading plans, to enable optimised marketing decisions.

Collaborate with the Head of Brand and Communications and the Head of Digital to create a seamless Marketing team who work effectively together to deliver for the business.

Ensure all campaigns support our Go to Market strategy and drive our brand.

Closely analyse return on investment for all our campaigns and ensure the team pivot as necessary based on the information.

Build and lead a high-performance and engaged team. Ensure great performance and values-based behaviour are rewarded, and that appropriate learning and development strategies exist to support career progression.

Ensure all team activity complies with all regulatory standards, including GDPR.

Experience (What you need to have already done to be right for this role)

Experience of leading a small team of Marketing professionals.

Successful use of data insights to drive marketing decisions.

A track record in delivering successful B2B marketing campaigns via a recurring revenue operating model.

Creative hands on marketer with excellent knowledge of marketing channels including both digital and traditional.

Skills (The personal capabilities needed to excel in this role)

Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to drive and motivate a team.

Data and results driven approach.

Confidence to challenge decisions and find new ways of working.

Ability to adapt to change and to make effective decisions quickly.

The self-awareness to identify own development needs and the desire to continuously improve both self and the team.

Qualifications And Other Requirements

Education: CIM accreditation desirable.

Industry Experience: Utilities and/or Service provision; preferred, but not essential

Location: Within commuting distance of either Sale, essential

IT literate, with knowledge of the effective use of technology to deliver a Marketing strategy and specific knowledge of Salesforce Pardot platform.

Full time/Permanent contract of 37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday, No weekends

We’re only a stone’s throw away from the M60 and just a short 5-minute walk from the Airport Metro Link line and Sale Town Centre.
