Your Company And Team

Your company is an historic small and growing organisation in the Charity sector who has been around for over 150 years in Berkshire working with FMCG companies.

Your Marketing team is in the heart of the business working closely with a number of teams with you working closely with the Fundraising Director and managing a small Marketing team.

In the team you will manage the Communications strategy and all the activities to raise awareness of the organisation. A varied role liaising with very senior stakeholders in all the biggest FMCG brands.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Develop the Marketing & Communications strategy, objectives and goals to deliver key priorities
  • Manage the Marketing & Communications team day to day to deliver all channels of activity

Role Breakdown

Management
  • Create the Communications strategy to help define the overall charity objectives
  • Define the annual Communications plans with key milestones and KPI’s
  • Manage the Communications team including objective setting, task allocation, workload monitoring, reviews and day to day line management
  • Work with Senior Team to share all plans for approval
  • Manage the Corporate Communications Committee
  • Manage the Independent Retailer Strategy Group
  • Write and manage the Marcomms budget

A Glimpse Of Your Day To Day
  • To create a comprehensive Marketing and Communications plan that is in line with the business strategy and annual budget
  • To ensure maximum exposure of the company brand identity within the FMCG industry
  • Building on a proactive media relations programme across industry trade and beyond.
  • Lead on the PR strategy and delivery
  • Build strong relationships with the HR & Communications contacts to enable optimum awareness programs within our industry
  • Deliver Case Studies in various formats
  • Deliver marketing promotional materials including sales toolkits
  • Deliver charity films
  • Attend awareness events and act as a charity representative
  • Deliver high quality charity presentations to new and current supporters
  • Report to senior management on marketing activity and how campaigns are tracking to target
  • Supplier management and liaison

Your Skills

You will have senior management experience across all communication functions and developing and executing strategic communication strategies and PR experience. It is desirable if you have knowledge of the FMCG or Charity sector.

Your Benefits

£65,000 - £75,000 salary with 25 days annual leave with an excellent contributory pension scheme, Private Health, Dental Care and Life Assurance.
