Job Title: Head of lettings accounts and joint secretary to Director

Location: Horley, Surrey

Contract type: Fixed term contract of 6 months with the opportunity of renewal

Hours:Ideally 9:00 – 18:00working 4 or 5 days a week (however more flexible hours can be discussed)

Dedman Lettings and Dedman Properties are two family run businesses and have been established since 1978 and 2017. We have our own portfolio of residential and commercial properties we rent and manage as well as other landlords.

We are looking for a proactive, organised, and diverse individual to join our team.

Skills:

  • Organised, reliable, and hard-working
  • Experienced in Xero software or similar
  • Accounts experience ideally within Lettings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Role:

  • Managing the director’s diary and organising meetings and appointments
  • Remind the director of important tasks and deadlines
  • Monitoring and prioritising incoming emails and phone calls on a daily basis, dealing, responding or redirecting as appropriate
  • General filing and administration
  • Build and maintain a good relationship with tenants and clients
  • Management of finances for two companies using Xero software, reconcile bank statement and allocate transactions to accounts
  • Input purchase invoices, reconcile supplier statement and allocate payments
  • Manage rent arrears, allocate receipts to rent accounts, monitor late payments & chase outstanding debts, produce invoice & credit notes
  • File notices and evictions to residents, as necessary
  • Produce financial reports as required for clients, outside organisations and partners when required
  • Completing quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparing employee salaries and pension payments
  • Preparing monthly PAYE payments and submitting sub-contractors CIS returns
