Summary

Leading our strategic approach to business partnering, this role will be critical in leading the HR Business Partners to provide strategic, proactive and insight-driven HR advice, and challenge, to the Homes England senior leadership teams.

The Head of HR Business Partnering will continuously demonstrate strong organisational knowledge and a clear overall view of the impact of people change and initiatives. They will play a critical, influential role in the organisational change and transformation agenda.

Job description

The role will lead a talented and highly experienced team of HR Business Partners who are committed to making positive change in our strategic approach to HR and people initiatives. This will be delivered by ensuring effective business partnering in HR and a joined up and value-added service is delivered to the organisation. It connects with key roles across the centres of excellence to develop products and initiatives and ensure the voice of the organisation is heard in the work of HR.

Dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service, this role is part of the HR leadership team responsible for formulation of an effective people strategy, in line with overall strategy and business objectives. Working collaboratively with key colleagues across HR and the Centres of Excellence to enhance the HR offer and ensure HR products and projects are delivered to stakeholders in the best way.

The role will act as the HR Business Partner to the Chief Executive Officer and advise them on people matters regarding their Executive team, providing professional leadership to the CE office. A truly transformational role the Head of HR Business Partnering will lead the team to embed the new approaches to performance management, workforce planning, pay and grading and reporting and management information. Working with internal and external stakeholders such as MHCLG and NRC to ensure effective communication and partnership working.

Responsibilities

Whilst your day job is to lead a team of HR Business Partners to deliver a first class strategic HR partnership to our stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will be comfortable with ambiguity and regularly changing, challenging transformational priorities. You will be used to constantly looking for ways to improve and innovate the strategic offering.

You’ll be comfortable supporting senior stakeholders with complex transformational HR issues, aiming to bring a rigorous, risk aware and collaborative approach to problem solving.

You will have comprehensive, demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder management and strategic HR partnering. You will also be CIPD qualified and hold a degree, or NVQ level 7 equivalent qualification in Human Resource Management or significant, equivalent experience at a senior level.

You will possess significant experience of leadership of a generalist HR team and business partnering roles bringing a strategic perspective with analytical and intellectual, rigor and the ability to align business strategy to HR strategy.

A record of leading and coaching a team of senior HR professionals to bring about positive strategic HR change and improvement is essential.
