The Head of Global PR & Communications is responsible for managing PR & Communications across all existing all hotels, with a strong emphasis on new developments, ensuring an effective and dynamic PR strategy and execution.


The successful candidate will ideally come from a luxury hospitality background or someone from other luxury sectors including but not all: real estate, jewellery, arts, watches etc.


Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic PR Planning and Executive Liaison: Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies aligned with the strategic goals of the brand and all their hotels. Act as a key liaison between the PR function and Senior Executives, providing strategic counsel and updates on PR initiatives and outcomes. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging communication technologies to maintain the brand’s competitive edge in the hospitality sector. Brand Building: Lead initiatives to enhance the brand image and visibility, ensuring a consistent and positive representation across various communication channels. All aligned with the brand’s positioning “Grand Boutique” and the brand promise “Properly Inventive”. Media Relationship Management: Initiate and maintain strong relationships with key and targeted media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage and increased visibility for the brand and its hotels, especially in the luxury hospitality environment. Manage and direct PR agencies in North America, UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and GCC. Ensure that KPIs are set and reviewed on a quarterly basis. Internal PR: Collaborate closely with colleagues, including hotel PR teams and various departments, to align communication efforts with overall business objectives and maintain a unified brand voice. Provide guidance and supervision to the hotels’ PR teams, encouraging a cohesive and effective approach to communication and media relations. Ensure consistency in messaging and PR activities across all hotels in the brand, as well as with the international PR agencies hired, adapting strategies as needed to accommodate regional differences and market dynamics. Event Management: Organise PR events to promote the brand and hotels, ensuring maximum exposure and engagement with target audiences in various markets. Content Development: Oversee the creation of compelling and engaging content for press releases and other communication materials that effectively communicate the brand’s story and values. Budget Management: Manage the PR and Communications budget, optimizing resources for maximum impact and ensuring cost-effectiveness in all PR activities. Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on PR performance, analysing key metrics and adjusting strategies as needed to continuously improve results and impact.

Job responsibilities


  • Expand the network of media and travel industry contacts through various channels, including meetings, desk-side office visits, attendance at networking events, trade events, and media seminars.
  • Take a proactive stance in PR activities by anticipating potential opportunities that can generate increased media exposure for the brand.
  • Strategically plan and think laterally to prevent communication gaps between head office and individual hotels.
  • Monitor, aggregate, and report press coverage to both the team and top management.
  • Foster effective communication with hotels to ensure cohesive messaging and brand representation.
  • Handle and respond to inquiries from media, individuals, and other entities in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure the compilation of press-kit materials for the hotels PR teams and media when necessary.
  • Corporate profiling for C-suite
  • Collaborate closely with Central Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management teams to align PR efforts with overall business strategies.
  • Take pride in the brands values and assets, reflecting this pride consistently in all communications with colleagues and the external world.
  • Organize specialized training sessions on interacting with the media during a crisis. This can involve guidance of effective communication, managing press conferences and handling tough questions.
