Soho House is a space for its diverse membership and teams to connect, grow, have fun and make an impact.The Role…To ensure that all day to day food and beverage operations and events held on site run smoothly and efficiently to the satisfaction of all members and guestsMain Duties…Ensure all departments are fully staffed and able to complete the day by
  • Checking in with all areas, managers and head chefs.
  • Focusing on the day to day F&B operations across the site – checking consistency of the food and service as well as Company standards being met
  • Take an analytical approach to sales-mix and food and beverage costs to implement menu changes and development
  • Partner with the General Manager and Head of Operations in annual budgets, reporting and weekly P&L control
  • Proactively work with the team and P&D to ensure possible challenges and issues are resolved before they become a problem.
  • Assist the Head of Operations/General Manager/Finance Partner with any reporting, forecasting etc that is required.
  • Be the main point of call for Heads of Department for any F&B related query.
  • Work with the events department to ensure F&B needs are met for each event – staffing, set up and service.
  • Deal with any complaints efficiently, effectively and professionally either face to face, on the phone or in writing.
  • Ensure the smooth running of all F&B departments.
  • Ensure rota’s completed in Fourth in a timely manner, and productivity assessed and actioned accordingly
  • Oversee recruitment across F&B with support of P&D.
  • Ensure training and performance management of entire F&B team.
  • Oversee cleaning rotas for the relevant F&B areas and ensure these are being actioned.
  • To embody the Soho House ethos and meet company standards at all times, and ensure your team are doing the same.
  • Ensure stock takes & CGS reporting is taking place. Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained for service.
  • Oversee and manage any additional F&B led initiatives/pop ups/seasonal activations
  • Communicate regularly with members and guests gaining feedback, developing rapport and using this to shape future offerings
  • Focusing on the day to day F&B operations across the site – checking consistency of the food and service as well as company standards being met
General
  • Ensure the highest level of personal appearance at all times.
  • Ensure that you are on time for work.
  • Adhere to the company procedures for sickness and absence.
  • Be fully aware of the fire and bomb procedures
  • Identify and report hazards and maintenance requirements in the workplace.
  • Any reasonable requests from Senior Management.
  • Understanding of F&B offerings from our local, regional and global competitors
Health and Safety
  • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately and rectified.
  • Be fully conversant with all departmental Fire, Emergency and BOMB procedures.
  • Emergency procedures are rehearsed quarterly with attendance records, implemented and enforced to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees.
  • Ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the premises, by strict adherence to existing laws, statues and applicable ordinances, and by anticipating possible and probable hazards and conditions and either correcting them or pre-planning a defence against them.
  • Stimulate and encourage a general awareness of Health and Safety in relation to all tasks and activities undertaken in the department.
