Head of Finance

£45,000- £50,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Full time or Part time

The role will be based working mainly remotely with the requirement to attend meetings at the office.

I am exclusively working in partnership with an established specialist commercial company near Cirencester. The company have continued to grow and develop their operations due to their exceptional service delivery levels and expanding national portfolio of clients. Reporting directly to the MD and working as part of the senior leadership team, the role will involve a strong commercial element to support the company’s ambitious 5-year growth strategy.

About The Job
  • Advising on strategic planning and future development in senior leadership meetings
  • Create and implement a quarterly rolling budget and forecast process as part of an overall longer-term business plan by partnering with all areas of the business.
  • Business partner with Managers to establish key KPI’s for their departments, review progress against budgets and KPIs to support the long-term strategy of the business.
  • Oversee the production of the Monthly Management Accounts pack and commentary within stringent timescales.
  • Develop accurate product and project profitability reporting to support commercial pricing and product decisions.
  • Business partner with the sales team to analyse client contractual agreements, tender requests and pricing, reviewing contract margins and commercial terms.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.
  • Mentor and lead a tenured motivated finance team and at times undertakes operational tasks as required.
  • Oversee the production of Statutory accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with corporation tax, PAYE, VAT, expense and benefits and other returns filed accurately and on time.
  • Manage tax computations, R&D Claims, P11ds and PSA
  • Treasury management
  • Maintain control of the payrolls for multiple entities.
About You
  • Qualified, Part Qualified or QBE
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good commercial experience with Business Partnering experience
