Cranfield Clarke are seeking a qualified head of finance or senior accountant to support one of our Schools on an interim basis starting September.

This is full time role to support an absence. We are seeking a focused, driven, dedicated and qualified finance leader who can advise the leadership team on all financial matters. You will be responsible for P&L with a particular focus on supplier analysis, cost reduction and maximising revenue and income from external sources whilst seeking new ways to drive revenue. In addition you will present your cost saving initiatives to the governors and be required to drive focus and provide detailed input in to the development of the School. You will be supported by a strong team of Educational professionals and administrators in this role.

Requirements
  • You will be ACCA qualified or similar
  • You will have at minimum of 2 years experience within accounting, finance and some experience of financial leadership and or some experience within industry
  • Any experience with schools accounting or as a school business manager maybe beneficial but is not essential,
  • You may be required to work in different locations so transport or the ability to access public transport is essential,
  • There may be some remote working involved in this role
  • Experience as an interim may be useful for this fast paced role
  • This is a strategic, leadership focused role so data analysis and presentation skills are essential to be successful in this role
