We are working with a local Worcestershire SME as they look to recruit a high calibre Head of Finance to support their future growth plans. This is a fabulous opportunity for someone to have ownership of the finance function, to be truly immersed in the strategic direction of the business and to advise the senior management team on all financial matters.

Typical tasks

Alongside the usual production of the monthly management accounts, P&L, budgets and forecasts, you will take on a wide variety of other tasks typical of working in a growing SME. This will include being the go-to point of contact for systems, working with Sales on commercial proposals and providing backing information to our client’s external accountants for producing the statutory accounts.

Candidate profile

You will be comfortable with being involved in the detail and getting your sleeves rolled up and will have the confidence needed to advise, influence and challenge directors in the business. You’ll throw yourself in to your work with enthusiasm and will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

We can consider candidates who are qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), part-qualified or qualified by experience. You will probably have a background working in SMEs and it would be useful to have already worked as the number 1 finance person in such a business.

Additional Details

This Head of Finance role offers a significant amount of working from home and, on the few occasions you are required in the office, is commutable from large parts of Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Herefordshire and the West Midlands.
