The main purpose of this role is to provide the organisation with the relevant financial budgeting, planning and accounting processes and governance to ensure that we are able to manage our finances effectively and deliver our public benefit.We are really passionate about being a great place to work, where people feel connected with what we do and where they feel they can make a genuine difference. The responsibilities for the role include the leadership, development and management of the Finance Senior Team through the whole employee life cycleOwnership of developing, delivering and monitoring the organisational financial business plan and annual budget working with key stakeholdersSupport the organisation to forecast adverse variances to agreed budgets and make recommendations on how to mitigate the riskLead the finance function to ensure all financial procedures provide accurate, timely and compliant informationDevelop, drive and implement the strategy for the organisations financial systems and processes and champion the use of available, new and emerging technologies to increase organisational efficiency and effectivenessIdentify and lead cost reviews and efficiency initiatives across PDSAOversee the governance and integrity of all financial activities, systems and reporting ensuring compliance with internal controls, legislation, financial reporting standards and regulatory bodiesLiaise with other senior members of PDSA to ensure projects and initiatives have integrity and are supported to deliver to budget and timescalePartner with business teams to support their corporate objectives through financial insight to aid decision makingAbout youThe successful candidate will be a fully Qualified Accountant and will also be passionate about the role that Finance plays within an organisation.
