A permanent Head of Finance job paying up to £60k for a growing organisation based in Evesham. Job Type: Permanent Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum Location: Evesham Hours: Mon-Fri (8.30-5) Your new company Hays Senior Finance are currently supporting an excellent SME company based in Evesham with the recruitment of a Head of Finance on a permanent basis. Our client has gone from strength-to-strength in recent years and with an aggressive growth plan in place for the next 3 years, they are seeking a qualified Accountant to lead their finance function and support them on this journey. Your new role As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for managing all finance related activities within the Group whilst playing a key role in the implementation of the business’ growth strategy alongside the MD. Main duties: Provide effective day-to-day financial management Implement new financial processes, procedures and controls as required Supervision of the accounts and importing team (4 staff) Management of the accounts team ensuring clear roles and responsibilities Preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, month-end reports and presentation of MI and KPIs Financial planning and analysis, maintaining rolling financial projections and scenario forecasting Working capital management including cash flow forecasting Forecast currency requirements and manage currency risk Budget preparation and monitoring of financial performance Oversee all import and export activities, ensuring correct procedures are followed Oversee stock management, monitoring stock levels, inventory turns, slow moving exposure etc. Manage relationships with external stakeholders including bank partners Involvement in due diligence analysis and financial modelling for acquisition activities Perform role of Company Secretary on the Board What you’ll need to succeed Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with excellent technical accounting knowledge Proven experience of managing a finance function in an SME environment Strong commercial mindset with the ability to look strategically at the business, making recommendations and implementing changes Excellent analytical skills Import/export experience (highly advantageous) Leadership skills with the ability to support and coach Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookUps, SumIFs, Formulas) Proficient with accounting packages (Sage/Oracle preferred) and systems implementation experience a plus What you’ll get in return In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) and the chance to take on a number one finance role in a well-established business who are going through an exciting period of growth and boast an excellent working culture.
