Reporting into the Vice Principal, you will be a pivotal member of our senior leadership team (SLT).As Head of ETLA and Quality you will help us to build our community of students, staff and industry professionals that makes us the best. You’ll work the SLT, cross-college, to continually improve the quality of our curriculum and student experience, lead excellence in teaching and learning supporting our staff to continually improve and seek out opportunities that give students the experiences they need for their future pathways.You will implement the College’s Quality Improvement strategies, working with curriculum colleagues to support them in ensuring there is a whole college approach to quality; driving a quality culture where colleagues genuinely care about the quality of their work, and make decisions based on sustainably achieving that level of quality.In collaboration with colleagues from across the group, you will locally implement the NCG Quality Assurance Cycle including leadership and facilitation of college curriculum reviews, external assurance/verification, learner surveys, the generation of oversight reports and technical feedback at meetings with relevant colleagues (including principalship, curriculum staff, NCG leaders and managers, and governors).Experience of working in education and outstanding teaching/ delivery is essential in this role. You will evidence a proven track record of success in improving quality within education and skills. You will ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, and work cross-college to uphold the highest academic standards across all disciplines. You’ll probably be experienced in the field of quality, data, and inspection or similar and will be able to draw on, and develop networks of industry professionals for the benefit of our staff and students..The ability to drive, manage, develop and improve staff performance is crucial. As such your communication skills and ability to synthesise information will be strong, along with the ability to influence and persuade colleagues and managers.
