Our Electrification, Maintenance & Modifications (EMM) segment are now looking for a Head of EMMUK Engineering & Construction to be based in Aberdeen.

What will you be doing?
  • Encourage multidiscipline engineering teams to work across the business to provide best in class engineering.
  • Lead, motivate and guide the senior engineers to unlock the value in our assets, measured by exceeding contract performance indicators and improving the sales and profits of the EMM UK business
  • Lead a culture of improvement across EMM UK that drives positive and innovate engineering in line with the segment strategy
  • Create a culture and strategic driven environment that acts and measures improvements and demonstrates or avoids reengineering
  • Lead, champion and implement engineering solutions across the function networking across the global organisation and UK to have a best-in-class engineering
  • Lead and motivate managers and leaders to spend more time with people at the front line to understand their key strength and competence
  • Identifying and retaining key employees within functional area
  • Establishing succession plans for all key management positions, including own successor
  • Complete workforce planning prior to the budget process and updating throughout the year. Note this includes owning the Manpower Projection Plans (MPP) across EMM UK
  • Regularly evaluating the workforce competence level according to the business strategy and anticipating recruitment needs
  • Managing performance according to the performance management procedure
  • Setting clear accountabilities and objectives and conducting a minimum of one annual performance dialogue
  • Ensure engagement from team with relevant Institutes and Certifying bodies across disciplines ensuring compliance
  • Coordinate with discipline focal points in the recruitment of graduates and interns
  • Willingness to conduct independent reviews across contracts
