Job Title: HEAD OF DIGITAL

Reporting to: PARTNER - DIGITAL

Areas of responsibility: CREATIVE PROJECT WORK & CLIENT SERVICE, MARKETING/NEW BUSINESS, GENERAL OFFICE.

JOB SUMMARY

Dimensions

  • The Head of Digital (HoD) is employed to lead and support the day-to-day operation of the company’s digital workplace, and digital marketplace projects.
  • Reporting to the Partner - Digital the HoD undertakes a wide range of creative and technical project work to help the company deliver the best possible levels of service and end quality to its clients.
  • As the HoD client knowledge/experience increases, these tasks will evolve accordingly in line with specific project and wider business requirements, and the HoD own personal development plans.
  • The HoD will also support 44 Communications as part of the 44 Digital support function, through digital project briefing, delivery, and measurement for clients.
  • To push and develop understanding and excitement in 44’s Digital offer to colleagues and clients.

KEY JOB AREAS:

Creative project work & client service (in no specific order)*

  • Client liaison virtually or in person – as required
  • Project management/Account Management of key tasks and outputs
  • Development, Design, Picture and video briefing & organisation
  • Client administration – monitoring project budgets and time
  • Creative input – ideas/suggestions
  • Delivering the highest quality digital guidance, insight and advice
  • Project research, and report writing/editing
  • Design, editorial and development approvals – overseeing progress and managing reviews
  • Conceptual development & input for new/priority digital projects
  • To constantly seek to improve the quality and consistency of the digital work 44 produces for its clients – in line with the company values
  • To be responsible for the success of digital projects through Analytics and ROI measures – as far as our remit extends
  • Knowledge of front-end/back-end web technologies, including eCommerce, SharePoint and Office 365
  • Knowledge of best-practice SEO, lead generation, and marketing processes

Measure

1) Weekly reviews (Every Monday – team meeting)

2) Regular face to face updates with manager (Daily currently)

3) Service reviews (as appropriate): KAMs (monthly) and SR (quarterly)

Marketing & new business (in no specific order)*

  • 44 Digital brand and website development and input – as required
  • Competitive tendering/proposal/pitch work – as required
  • Digital business development – opportunities and networking
  • Membership bodies – awards entries
  • Event organisation/exhibitions – as required
  • Marketing collateral – print, social media, digital – as required
  • Press releases & promotional campaigns – input and ideas
  • Website – editorial and maintenance
  • Development of existing client database

Measure

1) Weekly reviews (Bi-weekly Digital regroups)

2) Regular face to face updates with manager (daily at present)

3) Service reviews (as appropriate): KAMs (monthly) and SR (quarterly)

General office (in no specific order)*

  • Supervision/support of other colleagues in the office/virtually as team grows
  • Digital training/development of colleagues as required
  • E-mail & post – inbound/outbound messages
  • Telephones – fielding calls and general message taking
  • Invoicing & expenses – basic personal and project financial management
  • IT maintenance, regular back-up & trouble-shooting – as required
  • Use of forms and processes as required (e.g. ISO)
  • Proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
  • Development of partner network base
  • Regular contribution to the company website with quality, original content

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
