A key milestone was passed in the launch of SP Energy Network’s RIIO-ED2 Business Plan, detailing the £3.2bn worth of spending required to ready the UK for an electric future. This extremely comprehensive and detailed plan outlines the investment, job growth and innovations required to achieve the country’s Net Zero targets.

As we are at the heart of the energy transition and a vital cog in helping the country make a move towards a better future, quicker, we require a Head of Delivery who will lead and develop a multi-disciplined team of c.20 in the delivery of projects which are within scope of the Green Recovery programme, complying with strict adherence to the appropriate regulatory and license obligations for the electricity distribution network.

Analysing business performance to ensure ongoing delivery of outputs are completed within unit and authorised prime costs, you will lead and drive the efficient and effective delivery of performance targets whilst implementing robust stakeholder and customer interfaces to facilitate the delivery and communication of short, medium and long term plans and deliverables affecting local communities and stakeholders.

As you will deliver robust short (6-12 week) and medium (3-12 month) plans to facilitate business deliverables in line with district plans which are devised to minimise outages to customers, you will hold experience within a comparable managerial role with programme management experience and/or qualification.

Possessing expert knowledge of the standards required for construction and maintenance works in accordance with regulatory requirements, your project and/or programme management experience and strong performance track record of driving and delivering projects will assist us in achieving the country’s Net Zero targets.

As a nationally based organisation, you will be available to travel as required.
