Do you have a passion for shaping strategies and driving change?

Are you looking for a role where you can truly impact the success of a business?

Reporting to the Director of IT, you will oversee the implementation of advanced analysis, modelling, and performance measurement on projects across LSTM. We’ll need you to be clear on the purpose of data, and know how to capture, manipulate, interpret, and apply it.

Whilst we want you to bring your own innovative ideas and creativity to this role, there are some key topic areas we’ll need you to focus on:

  • Ensuring the company’s cloud and on-premise data is centralised into a single data lake and modelled to support data analysis requirements
  • Creating a data architecture framework and principles for ‘how’ data is collected, used, processed, stored, and consumed – with a common framework so that all company data can be analysed in a unified manner.
  • Build a multi-modal service model that meets the non-homogeneous needs of our functional groups – full-service to self-service, and across our data stack.
  • Lead and contribute towards medium and long term coordinated planning based on LSTM’s objectives to keep the organisation up to date with developments in AV and IT.

You will need to bring excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate strategies, developments, and issues to all relevant internal stakeholders. You will have well developed analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead teams and projects.

Ideally, you’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a mathematical, statistical, scientific, or engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on experience of writing SQL & TSQL and manipulating large data sets in a relational database.
  • Advanced knowledge of excel, with expertise in all types of automation including; SPSS, Office reports, Scripting and VBA.
  • Strong understanding of statistics and data modelling, with an eagerness to quickly learn and understand new technologies.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills with a passion for data-driven decision making.
  • Confidence engaging and influencing senior customers on both business and technical subjects.
