About The Role

Base Location:Any SSEN location including Aberdeen, Inverness, Perth, Glasgow, Berkshire, Surrey, West London, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Wessex

Salary: £64,700- £97,100 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

Key Focus Areas Are

The Head of Customer Connection Operations, Policy & Performance has an overarching day to day responsibility for the SSEN Distribution Connection Business, overseeing all support operations, processes and systems as well as Connections policy; business to business relationship and account management; pricing; business forecasting; and collation and use of business and management information.
  • Working across the industry develop, improve and implement Connection policy to achieve best outcomes for SSEN and UK Customer.
  • Account manage business to business relationships and contractual relationship with all major customers and National Grid.
  • Develop and maintain the Connection business forecast reviewing likely market trends, workload and future opportunities in order to develop a 1, 3, 5 and 10 year forecast aiming to balance business profitability with customer charges.
  • Manage Connection business operations including: key systems; quality assurance, internal/external compliance; and training.
  • Coordinate the acquisition and use of data to ensure active us of business and management information to support the business and inform decision, change management and continuous improvement
What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
  • Leadership experience and experience delivering successful operations within a similar role/environment and the ability to influence across business functions to enable delivery
  • Excellent customer and account management experience.
  • Sound commercial acumen and contract knowledge enabling you to lead negotiations and disputes with both Customers and National Grid.
  • Experience of managing multiple teams, projects, programmes and change either through direct employee workforce and/or third-party contractors to meet targets
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to successfully develop and maintain strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
