To strengthen our strategic delivery team and help us achieve our ambitious and pioneering plans to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents, we are looking for a dynamic person to join our award-winning joint commissioning team as Head of Commissioning (Adult Social Care, Mental Health & Learning Disabilities). With a proven track record of programme management across health and care sector, this is your opportunity to help shape the future direction of the services we deliver for local residents. This interesting and wide-ranging role is varied and at the heart of our transformation and commissioning agenda, cutting across a range of policy areas, with a key focus on supporting work across Adult Social Care, community services and CCG commissioned Mental Health Services. The role will also see you lead on our vision for shaping and delivering visionary ideas around services for our most vulnerable older and disabled citizens. This is a unique chance to make positive difference to how we deliver services. In addition, you will play a central role in delivering our public sector reform as we reshape our services to bring them closer to local residents. You will be at the heart of supporting and championing quality and safeguarding improvement for our care market, working alongside local provider organisations to help us to develop and enhance the services we provide for local residents. You will be an enthusiastic, experienced person with a flair for innovative service delivery. You will have worked in a similar organisation of comparable scope and complexity, with a grasp of the issues, opportunities and challenges facing local government. This will be pro rata for part time/part year employees.
