I’m currently working with a well-established law firm with offices in Bolton and Bury, offering a range of legal services to clients across the Northwest. They are looking for a qualified and experienced solicitor to lead their civil litigation department.
As the Head of Civil Litigation, you will be responsible for:


  • Managing a team of solicitors and paralegals, providing guidance and supervision
  • Developing and implementing strategies for business development and client retention
  • Handling your own caseload of civil litigation matters, including Directorship disputes, contractual disputes, ADR, Landlord and Tennant, professional negligence, property litigation, insurance disputes and insolvency etc
  • Liaising with other departments and external parties
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and compliance


To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A minimum of 5 years PQE in civil litigation, with experience in directorship disputes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
  • A proactive, commercial, and client-focused approach
  • A strong track record of achieving positive outcomes for clients.
  • A willingness to mentor and develop junior staff.
