We are looking for candidates that are/have;

As well as;

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef
  • 2+ years’ experience with Italian cuisine
  • Good level of oral proficiency in English language
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and health and safety standards

The main tasks of our Head Chef will include;

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting food in line our required standards
  • Keep preparation levels to a good number without allowing for wastage or shortages
  • Making sure that food is served promptly
  • Coordinating take away orders with the our kitchen staff and floor staff to provide drivers with correct food
  • Monitoring food production to ensure consistent quality and portion size
  • Stock control reassuring that the standards are followed
  • Following relevant hygiene, health and safety guidelines
  • Each week make sure that the new supply are put in the right order in the fridges
  • Following FIFO procedure to reduce waste of food stock
  • Making sure that all stock is available and top up is done before the start of the main service
  • Keep the preparation area and the kitchen tidy and clean accordingly with the hygiene standard. Using all cleaning product available make sure the surface are always cleaned for the next person on duty
  • Allowing enough time to make sure the preparation is done
  • Control and direct kitchen staff on duty to make sure the job is done accordingly to Company’s standard
  • Give suggestion and ideas to improve the quality of the food or work environment is appreciated
  • Check that appliance and fridge are properly closed before leaving
  • Make sure that the cleaning cycle for the kitchen equipment is done every week
  • Make sure the kitchen and the back kitchen is cleaned properly every day
  • Give feedback to staff to improve communication and work environment
  • Ensure the kitchen porter does their job correctly
  • Establish effective employee relations and maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethics, and attitude towards all guests, clients, and employees
